Land Acknowlegement
Native Movement has office and organizing spaces on the unceded territory of the Dena’ Peoples of Interior Alaska (Fairbanks) and the Dena’ina Peoples (Anchorage). The Indigenous Peoples of Alaska have held deep-rooted relationships with these lands for time immemorial. The Indigenous Nations of Alaska never surrendered lands or resources to Russia and to the United States. The colonial policies imposed by the United States have been navigated under duress and occupation. These key points of reflection are critical in the endeavors to dismantle colonialism and build pathways to self-determined liberation.
