Native Movement carries out our commitment to advocacy, grassroots mobilization, and long-term solutions in three major ways: Justice Advocacy Programs, Community Affiliate Program, and long-term Movement Building.
Climate justice
Elevate climate justice voices from Alaska to build aggressive climate action for Alaska and Tribes. We organize across the local, state, federal, and international levels.
JUST TRANSITION ALASKA: Support solutions-oriented projects aimed at building a just and equitable transition for Alaska.
Environmental justice
Protect Indigenous way of life and support food sovereignty. Support local community empowerment to build long-term protection and healing of the lands, waters, air, animals, and ultimately their communities. Voice a strong Alaskan narrative around environmental justice, Indigenous Peoples rights, and the rights of Mother Earth.
Gender justice & Healing
Build Gender Justice awareness and advocacy campaigns throughout the state and throughout our other work areas of work. POLICE ACCOUNTABILITY & COMMUNITY SAFETY: hold law enforcement accountable so that our communities are not living in fear.
Narrative SOVEREIGNTY
Elevate Indigenous and rural voices across the State. Build capacity for Arts & Advocacy. Reclaim the narrative for movement building.
